SANDHILL SADDLE CLUB NEWSLETTER
APRIL 2007

Somebody please remind me to find a way to cancel the month of April. Due to all the bad weather the board has decided to not try to continue to move the fun shows. We will be doing 2 Fun Shows in May. They will be May 3 & 17. Hopefully then the weather will make up its mind about what it wants to do. We appreciate everyones’ understanding through all of this.

I’m sure by now all of you know that we had to move the Wrangler rodeo to Kingman on April 7. I do not have the words to thank everyone who pitched in and made this whole thing happen. To all who helped in the concession area, brought baked goods, collecting the gate fee, helping with the times and any area where you helped out, this could not have happened without you. This is why I love SHSC so much, when you need people they are there. The Rodeo brought in $2035. For the rest of our rodeos’ sure hope we have the same support and help from each and every member. THE SECRET OF SUCCESS LIES WITH ALL OF US.

At the mention of the next rodeo remember it is May 19 & 20. Once again we will need all the help we can get. Also the baked goods are really appreciated by all attending. We also have the KSHA show on May 12. The help we will need for it includes concession, people to operate the gates for contestants, help on the entry desk and a grill master and announcer.

I hope every one has saved their silent auction items. I’m sure we will be able to get that started in May. Also we are going to try to save the aluminum cans, we will have a trash can just for those. And if you want to get rid of any you have at home we will take those too. We will also be starting the 50/50 at the fun shows. If any one has other ideas about raising funds for the year end awards please let us know.

Ok, start crossing your fingers for GOOD WEATHER. I will end this for now. Make plans now for the upcoming events.
