Members gathered on April 11th to do our annual clean up. We had a good turn out and really got some things
accomplished. The Mock Ranch Rodeo was so much fun. I had a problem trying to figure out what and where to what
because there was so much action. Everybody had a good time. Thanks to all of you who put in your time. You know
it is appreciated.
Saturday April 17th turned out to be a really nice evening. We had 64 entries total. Total for entries was $48.50.
As always the concession, in the capable hands of Linda Cox, brought in $75. With $35 in memberships generated a total
for the night of $158. The best part of it was we were done by 8:30.
I have some really good news about our website. It will be up and running again soon. Amy Weippert will be
maintaining if from now on. Also we will begin sending the newsletter and reminders about events via email. So all of
you who have email, we need your address so you can stay informed. For those who do not have email we will continue to
mail it the old fashioned way.
The club has been invited to join the folks of Little River, Kansas for a parade on May 29th. Line up is at 10:30 on
the south side of the high school and the parade will start at 11:00.
Events coming in May are fun shows on May 1st and 15th and a KSHA show on May 29th. The events for the May 1st show
are Lead Line 1-5, Barrels, Poles, Flag Race, Texas Role Back, Keg Bending, and Dummy Goat Tying. For the May 22nd show
the events include Lead Line 1-5, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Pair Pleasure and Reining.
Since I have no more news I will get out of here. Remember if you have any questions or need information, call me or
any officer or board member. We will be glad to give you answers.
