So far our Saturday night fun shows haven’t done too well. The May 1 show had 56 entries for a total of $56.75. Linda as always did great in the concession stand with a total of $72.50. Later we discovered that there were a lot of other things happening that night. After some discussion about the next fun show being on May 15, with graduation at Buhler, graduation parties and the Abbyville Rodeo, it was decided that we would move the next fun show to May 22. By then school will be out and maybe everyone will be less busy and come out and have some fun.

Speaking of graduation we have two members that will be graduating from Buhler High School. Congratulations to Katelyn Roberts and Melissa Albert. Katelyn has plans to attend K-State and Melissa hasn’t totally decided yet. But we are sure they both have a bright futures ahead. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU BOTH!!!!!!!

Things will be getting a little busier the next couple of months. Besides fun shows we will be having the first of 2 KSHA shows. KSHA is for all breeds and it is all judged events, including halter, English & Western riding. If you would like to participate on May 29 let me know and I will send you a show bill. As always we will need some help for this. We need help with the gate, a ring steward to help Jim Keever, our Judge, and help for Steve in the crows nest. June fun shows will be the 5th & 26th. Our first KWHA Show is June 19 & 20. Again if you want to join in let me know. You do not have to be members to show in either of these events.

Steve Cox and I made a trip to Lyons on the 8th to check out the Womens Ranch Rodeo. You talk about fun & excitement. We really want the club to support this event. It is something new to Hutchinson and we would like very much to see it be a success. We are also needing sponsors. So if you know any business that would be willing to support this new and exciting event be sure to talk to them. I can promise that anyone who comes to see it will have a great time. SO SPREAD THE WORD JULY 31 AT 7:00 PM.
